Download a copy of the Institutional Effectiveness: A Guide to Implementation
ACICS developed the second edition of Institutional Effectiveness: A Guide to Implementation specifically to assist institutions in interpreting the institutional effectiveness criteria and in developing and implementing an Institutional Effectiveness Plan (IEP) that meets the published requirements in Sections 3-1-110 through 3-1-113 of the Accreditation Criteria.
ACICS first published institutional effectiveness criteria in 1991 with the original intent to allow institutions the flexibility and creativity to address the required elements in an IEP. However, through the evaluation process, the Council determined that institutions were not being given sufficient guidance to direct them to publish a document that met ACICS standards. Those concerns lead to the development of new criteria in January 1997, along with the new institutional effectiveness publication which can be downloaded by clicking here.
In addition to the publication on institutional effectiveness, ACICS offers one-day workshops throughout the calendar year. To find out more about these workshops, click on the Workshops & Special Events tab.
