ACICS Authority Recognized by ED.Gov

ACICS has received official notice by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education that its recognition as a national accrediting agency has been extended through 2016. The letter from Brenda Dann-Messier, a senior department official, said: “Please convey my appreciation to the members of ACICS for their continuing efforts to improve the quality of postsecondary education in the United States.” The letter lists ACICS’s scope of recognition to include private postsecondary institutions offering certificates, diplomas, associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degrees in programs designed to educate students for professional, technical or occupational careers, including those offered via distance education.
